22re vacuum hoses help!

Ok i just put my 22re back together got it put in and I can get it to turn over and fire but cant get it to start. I checked the timing and it is fine, the injectors seem right and the only thing I can think of is the vacuum hoses are hooked up wrong. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

A map of the vacuum lines I had a hell of a time getting mine running right then found I had a few vacuum lines switched but now after rerouted it runs 100 times better.

okay great thanks. another question...I got it to run but i have to retard the timing to get it to idle if I just keep on the gas it runs strong but it is still gutless I drove it around the block and it couldnt make it up a very small hill. I think its the timing but what else could it be????

What is the TVV in the bottom of the diagram, and why isn't the brake booster and PCV valve identified on that diagram?

The TVV circled in blue notice the two lines running to the right stacked on top of each other ,it works with the idle up for AC when you turn on the ac it kicks the idle up so it can keep the engine idle where it needs to be so it don't die out

As for why there's nothing on the brake booster and pvc I don't know other then to guess it's because these are all the vacuum lines running off the little vacuum line hiway that connects hose to pipe from one end of the motor to the other , I guess for the true answer it's is going to be a engineer from Toyota to give that to you but if you need them let me know I have or can get pics of them for you as well.

Great looking engine olharleyman!! BTW Thanks for the diagram. This is the first diagram I can understand. At least looks a lot like my engine.

Symptoms sound like mine were. My idle was a bit low, and the timing was off. I don't have the link to the thread about my timing issues (I'm posting from my phone).

All I did was get the idle reset and the timing done. I did the timing on my own until I could drive it, then I took it to the shop.

1994 Toyota pickup vacuum limes

my hood has the same vacuum routing, but I could use some pictures if anyone has any. My truck runs but poorly and as soon as I it it in drive it bogs down and dies. I just did a head gasket job on it.

No flames please. A friend of mine who is a mechanic told me that he is able to find vacuum leaks by spraying (a cool motor) with either carb cleaner or starting spray. When the spray gets sucked into the engine, it revs or stalls, depending on which kind of spray is used. So he can narrow down the section of the engine where the vacuum leak may be occurring. Hope this helps. Sea
