Could be that your having problems with the cold start system or the idle air valve is not functioning. My guess is the cold start system. Locate the sensors on the front of the motor. There's two.....one green and one brown. The brown one is the timing switch for the cold start. If it goes bad, it won't ground signaling the cold start injector to pulse fuel on start up. So, pull the connector off, run a wire from the ground side (forget which side that is, but there's only two, so only one will work) and to the battery. Make sure the connection is solid. Then, try to fire the truck up. If it still won't start, keep the ground wire connected, pull the cold start injector from the upper air intake manifold (plenum) and see if the injector is pulsing fuel. If not, then the wiring is bad somewhere or the injector has burned out.

Start there and post back. If you don't post back, you will be severly harrassed by the gentleman above. He's gnarly. Don't tempt him.
