working on a 91 4x4 22re with automatic transmission.i set the timing with the connector jumped like the manual says at 5 degrees,but when i remove the jumper ,the timing will not advance when i rev the engine. i have set the tps and all seems fine,i have replaced the igniter and coil with units that work properly off my other truck,and recently installed another computer that i just paid 135.00 for,since the automatic computers are very rare,and nothing i do seems to help,hopefully someone on here has encountered this same problem,i apologize for posting this in the buildup section first, just a rookie mistake.
