22re ThrottleBody mods

For the 1990 22re is there any easy swapable 60mm units out there from different apps? Or is it unique? I have a ported unit ready to go on but am not going to spend the money on a bored out unit.

To get the maximum benefit from this mod you must also bore the intake to match the throttle body.

Nice piece but I'm not going for the price- I was looking for a stock TB off a Supra or v6 that would fit- I have a spare intake to match bores. Already have the Supra AFM.

I think a TB off of a 1985 Supra is 60mm, at least that's what I've read so far. I'm still looking for one myself.

Totally off topic, but are those BJ spacers in your Avatar there? Which brand did you get and are you liking them? I'm going to need to get some down the line (I have a 4 inch IFS kit installed, but with blocks on the OEM saggy rear leafs - need to get new leafs and BJ spacers up front).

Just curious - you can PM me if you want to stay on topic here

thanks!

Yes they are. I got them from 4crawler (second vehicle I've put a set on) and love them.

Holy old thread, Batman!

Since this post, I've done the ZUK mod, and now have a pair of 63" chevies in the garage along with a new welder, just waiting - but sadly no need for the BJ spacers yet :/

....back on topic!
