22Re-t

My fathers 86 4runner is running a 87 Re-t but the egr valve went out and neither the shop or myself are able to locate one, does anyone know where you can find parts for one of these engines ?

I always thought the rte were the same. #'s on my EGR valve toyota part #25620-35150 ND part #135000-2240. looking through all my re stuff I couldn't find an EGR valve with a ledgible part # to compare. They look the same on the outside though. anybody got the part # for the RE to see if they are the same?

Am I runnng the wrong one? Anybody know the difference between these part #'s. my truck runs great except when it is still cold and on a cold day I hit fuel cut since I put another wastegate shim in and hit 10 to 11 lbs of boost. Once it warms up it's good though. Just another wierd problem I'm having.

Found the part its gonna cost around $450 but that engine only has 8 k on it so its worth it to him so we should have it up and running in the next couple of weeks.

Unless u gotta pass emissions, I'd just block it off.....$450 is mighty expensive.

Its a DD so ya being the state of Ca we'll get the part and its not nearly as expensive as the turbo was when we replaced that. I am not fan of the engine for the simple fact that the parts are costly and prefer the good old non turbo'd efi motors.. On top of that his 4runner is running a 3 inch pipe with the most open muffler of all time with kick downs and doesnt even come near crossing over the rear axle and at 22 I am not nearly as tone deaf as him so it bothers me. When you have your father flush game from the woods using his truck it speaks volumes.
