From: milwaukee, WI baby muddin in the streets!!
make sure you get the crank looked at to see if its cracked mine was and i almost never got it checked!
when it locked up did the tyres just lock up on you or did the tyres still turn and the motor lock up?
if you have it in nutral and she dont move at all i think your problem might be in the trany or rear end
when mine locked up the rear tyres still turned and it sloped the clutch man i wish i had put a new clutch in it when i rebuilt the motor so you do that to

Yea, I,m pretty sure I fried a bearing. Its an automatic and when it seized up I was going about 60. The motor just stopped but the truck kept rolling. Ihave taken everything off and am pulling the block tomorrow. I e-mailed engnbldr Ted and got some advice as to how to proceed. I am going to replace the crank, bore and hone the cylinder walls, and replace the rods and pistons. I am also going to go ahead and put an RV head and cam in it. Might as well do it right since I have it apart. I have already taken over 50 pics of the disassembly and plan on taking a bunch during the buildup. Will keep everybody posted as to the progress. A little advice to anybody venturing in this far, a good 7.2+ digital camera is probably the best tool to have in your tool box with as many hoses and wires as you have to disconnect. Football season is almost upon us! hooraay! GO CHARGERS!!! LATE.
