22re running rough, whats new
Ok so here's my deal. I purchased a rebuilt 22re, ran great then blew the head gasket. got the head gasket replaced checked the head and everything was fine. Still hasn't ran the greatest since, I've replaced the mass air flow, a new head because of leak in valve one, temp sensor, thermostat, egr valve, new plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, and still runs rough. I've been told to replace the rocker arm assembly but I'm seeing if there's anything else some one can come up with. It idles bad after running then shutting off and starting up again. It smells like coolant but no signs of head gasket, and just runs like hell, no power. please let me know what you think.

For coolant to get into the exhaust you pretty much need a leaking head gasket, or a cracked head (or rarer still, a cracked block). You could try a gadget like to check for combustion products in the coolant (on the assumption your leak runs both ways). Or perhaps a .
