Get a full OEM gasket kit from the dealer or an online OEM parts source like Toyotapartszone.com.

Read Yotatech till your eye's blead.

That's all you need, all your questions will be answered through the search button. It's been done many, many, many times before oh here. Search for Iamsuperbleeder and Olharleyman, they have good threads on their rebuilds.

Oh by the way, there are no single trick(s) that's going to make your rebuild magical by some metric. A good rebuild is accomplished by putting together a string of proper techniques and quality parts. Remember, it's too expensive to be cheap.

Be sure to GAP YOUR RINGS!!!! Doesnt take long, but i assumed my rings were pre gapped and now one of them broke and put a big gouge in the cylinder wall. NOT fun.

deck the head-- unless you are getting a new head. They are almost always warped after long mileage.
