I have an 86 4 runner 22re, pretty much stock except tri-y header, body lift and 33 mudders. SAS in the soon future, hopefully. It has a miss at idle after I have been on the throttle for a while and seems worse if I am on the brake, such as at a stop light. Suggestions? Vaccum leak? Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Is it a surging idle? What is your idle speed set at? You might have to just lower the idle speed. Search 'idle surge' on here, and read up on it.

Hopefully that will fix it.

Make sure the injector plugs don't have any play. Check the injector seals by spraying carb cleaner at the base and see if the engine revs up.
