22re injector pulse while engine off
93 toyota pickup 22re cali emissions.
truck will fire up and run at a high idle for lets say a minute or so . After that short period of time it ˟˟˟˟s down like you flipped a switch. With the key in the on position you can hear the injectors clicking and the occasional electric arc in the distributor. All while the engine if off and just the key in on.
ive replaced the afm and the coolant temp sensor and am trying to figure out how to position the rag in the fuel tank for optimum fuel ignition when i burn it down . Any ideas fellas before i do something ill regret to this old truck . Its life is yalls hands. .....

If Ignition on and injectors are clicking:
1) The wiring on the ground side of the injectors (In red below...) could be shorting to ground, OR
2) The ECU is bad and is connecting the ground side to ground when when it's not supposed to
My guess and hope is just (1). Inspect your wiring.
To eliminate doubt on (2) Disconnect pins #20 (Wht) and #10 (Wht-Red) from ECU connector and see if the clicking persists when IG is on.

That looks like some traces burned up as well. I would check for any shorts in the wiring or any fuses that are bypassed, or larger than they are supposed to be before sticking another one in its place.

look at all the beautiful analog electronic components! So easy to fix...if you can get the parts and traces aren't burnt like 92e said above.

Most welcome.
AHA!
+1 on inspecting traces and shorts and bypasses.
highridinyota,
Mind noting down part number of your ECU? Or sharing picture of label? It would be good for reference.
