Hey Guys. For about a month or two I have noticed my idle being high around 1200 to 1500. I always notice it when I come to a red light. When I let off the gas the idle slowly goes down to around 1200. I have noticed if i pat the gas the idle will then go down to a normal rpm. I have tested this same theory while being parked under the hood at the throttle body. The throttle isn't being held open at the higher rpm because there is no tension in the throttle cable. Anyone else experienced this problem or have any recommendations?

 

Well turn your idle down. Solved!

 

The idle is adjusted right but there is something that causes the idle to stay high when coming off of the accelerator.
