22re Head Question

I changed the oil today and saw that i had a pretty good oil leak. When i filled it back up and cranked it, and then shut it down i noticed oil leaking from the bottom of this plate.

It is located on the Head on the left side. A few questions.
What is this plate for?
What is it called besides plate?
What kind of gasket is behind this plate?

I dont want to pull it off yet because i want to be prepared with a new gasket. If it is just a fiber gasket I can make one easy enough. I am not sure what kind of pressure is behind it or if it will pour all the oil out of the head when i pull the plate.

Thanks

the plate is the block of plate for the mechanical fuel pump on the 22r's. Simply unbolt it and replace gasket with oil safe rtv. My choice would be ultra-black.
