22re Coolant leak
Hi All,
I recently bought a 1990 Toyota Pickup 22re and I noticed that it has been drinking some coolant to beat the californian summer heat. lol.. I have been topping the coolant reservoir off everynow and then due to the leak.
I was able to find the leak at several spots. It seems to be massive at the rear of the engine.
1) Water Pump Leak
2) Rear Leak
3) Leak - 2 - Where is it comming from???
I know that majority of the leak is from pic 2. The leak at near the waterpump seems to be dried up and minimal, but Im not sure if it is from the waterpump or somewhere else.
Do I have to replace the hoses (pic 2) and is it common? Any opinions.

looks like Slimer has been through there. Ectoplasmic residue all over the place, yikes!
When I did the valve job, I replaced all the hoses on my truck. Even the coolant hoses. Replacing the coolant hoses created leaks I didn't have before. But seeing as how you already have some leaks, I would say get some new hoses and hose clamps.

Thanks, I think it is the heater hoses(pic3) as well coz the metal pipes are a continuation of the pic2.
So, can anyone point me to this hose on FSM. Cant seem to find the heater hose section.

Use http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/ instead of the FSM ... much more detail of individual components.
It's under the electrical section / heating and air conditioning.
