22re to 22r/propane

I was having all sorts of problems with my wiering on my 22re so I decided to go propane. My truck is just going to be on the trail. What I have read and searched is that 85-95 the 22r and 22re are the same except for the intake. Is this correct? Will I be able to bolt on a intake from a 85-95 22r and bolt it to my 22re to run my propane. Any info advice will help thanks.

ur gonna find that even though the intakes bolt up with one another, the wiring harness is totally different. i pulled my cab out of a junkyard off a 1987 single cab with a 22r, (i have a 22re) and had to rip the harness out and put mine in. only plugs that r the same are the headlight plugs. have fun.

Yea I know that, I've already pulled out all wiering in the truck. I'm gonna be running a new harness just for the esentials. This is just a trail rig. I just need to know what years a 22r intake will bolt up to a 22re head

Called LC Enginering and talked with the tech guy. He said that there is no change in the 22r to 22re. A 22r intake will bolt up to a 22re head I will just have to put a block off plate on the head between #2-#3 cylinder. Wich LC Enginering sells the block off kit.
