22R won't run after rebuild

Need help!! Just rebuild 91 toyota 22r. Everything back together and it will run for a second or 2 and then quit. Any ideas??

1. Are you sure you have everything reconnected properly?
2. Is your check engine light on? If so, what are the codes?
3. It sounds like a fuel problem, but I am not looking at the engine.

When I changed my motor I started it without the Mass airflow senser plug hooked up. It wouldn't run more than 5 seconds, even after I hooked everything up. I messed around with the wires for a couple hrs, no luck. When I finally erased the check engine light it ran perfect. I think you disconnect the battery or jump the check plug, can't remember.
