22R Vacuum Advance
Hello all,
I may be the last one on this end of the galaxy to find out, but LCE Performance has an excellent price on vacuum advance devices for 22R Pick-ups. As many probably know, dealer cost is north of $200 and other Internet sources are in the low $100's.
Discovered mine was defective when I tried to pull a vacuum and found both diaphragms to be leaky. One caution on the replacement unit. Although it is a simple R&R (watch out for the small retainer clip that holds the VAD arm to the movable distributor plate) the arm is not quite the same length as OEM and you'll be wanting to get out your timing light for final adjustment. Also, my distributor plate was binding so take a look at that as well. A bit of oil and back in business.
Best wishes.
