Moved to the correct section. You posted in the site feedback section, not going to get much response there

Ideas... for? Sorry little confused on where you trying to go with the truck.
Questions though-
Is it a 22r gone turbo?
Is it a 22rte block with a 22re head?
Is it a 22re with a 22rte head?
Little more info and we can help you out brother.
If its a 22r gone turbo your gonna need the 22r head, the pistons were dome top.
If its a 22rte block, you can obviously you go with a 22re head.
If its a 22re with a 22rte head and want to go back Naturally aspirated (N/A, not to be confused with Not Applicable) go with a 22re head, for compression purposes.

a couple of years ago i had a 86 factory turbo truck. while i had it, i bought a spare turbo for it, since i knew how hard they were to find. it is the ct20. i sold the truck, but i still have the turbo. if you are interested in it send me an email. oopssorry13@gmail.com. i paid almost $200 for it on ebay, but i will sell it for $150, just to get it out of my garage.

moderators: if it is not o.k. for me to try and sell something in this post, please delete it for me. i dont want to get banned for doing something im not suppose to. thanks

Ok. I have a 22r turbo factory. buddy had it borrowed. long story short. had a broken cam shaft. At the middle bearing it seized up. So bought a refurb head. Took it apart. and checked out the turbo. have a cracked exhaust housing by wastegate, and way to much play. Started looking for turbo. Pretty hard to find, or I just dont know how to look. Well I can find them, they are very expensive. I didnt know if there was somone else who made an aftermarket turbo, or if i could rebuild it. Just dont really know a lot bout toyota turbos.

get rid of that hunk of s**t ct20. they only last around 60000 miles. try getting a ct26 out of a celica with the 3sgte, they are a common swap. or if you wanna go deeper into it, get a t3/t4 hybrid. its about the best turbo for the 22r but it will take some slight mods. im running an IHI RHB6 on my stock 22re, about 12 lbs of boost with 450cc injectors. it scoots pretty good with 37" swampers.

lcengineering.com has ALOT of toyota performance parts/turbo swap parts. i dont know if youve ever been there. its not the cheapest but they have anything you'll need. The CT26 will bolt on to the stock manifold. there is two models of ct20s, the ct20 and the ct20b. i heard the swap is really easy with the ct20b model, but theres a few mods you hafta do if you had the older ct20.

you may have to modify the oil/coolant fittings, but its definetly worth going to a different turbo. You dont want to have to rebuild or try to find a new ct20, they are too rare and too expensive and too unreliable.

i hope any of this helps....

i went to a CT26 twin scroll set up....super quick spool up around 1900rpms when it starts boosting.
re-used the stock manifold just did some porting work
was able to reuse the stock oil feed/drain
had to custom fab a downpipe and flange
i'll post some pictures of how it all fit this afternoon

still having issues

All right. I have purchased a ct26 from a celica 3sgte. It did not come with turbo elbow. My question is. Is the ct26 from a supra 7MGTE the same size on the exhaust side as the celica?

I used a ct 26 from a 7mgt supra on mine. all i had to do was oblong the exhaust manifold flange mounting holes, rotate the compressor side housing around (after taking the roll pin out of the inside) so the oil ports would be pointing down modify the stock 7mgt exhaust downpipe and build a plate for the oil supply/return and custom make some hoses. sorry but not sure if exhaust flanges are the same as the celicas. good job getting rid of the ct 20 though

I built a 20-22r turbo with 7psi out of a ebay .63 hot side turbo that had full boost by 2200rpm. in my celica it ran great. no dyno numbers but i would guess it was good for 200-230 hp. it would make a tire fore in third gear.

i upgrade mine with a 16g from ebay anmd stock manifold, with auto trans it makes 4psi at stall and start slipping the tires, this was my first attemp cause i install a haltech sprint500 was tuning the truck when trans go south.it makes 20 psi in neutral at 6000rpm limiter.with this turbo i have made 360hp-19psi with mitsu 2.4 16v single cam trucks.

What were the turbo specs? Also, I would guess 170bhp to be more realistic unless your engine was making 140hp to begin with. 7psi without an IC isn't going to double the NA power. It might provide a 50% on a good day.
