22r Head gasket leak
Hey guys,
So I got off of work for the day, get in my truck, drive home and my 22r starts running hot. I live 2 minutes from home, so I shut it off, popped the hood and hear this awesome "psssss" sound coming from what APPEARS to be the head gasket, but it's buried in by the dipstick tube, behind the alternator, etc. so I can't quite pinpoint it exactly, but there is an evident run of water on the block itself. I have no water my oil, it's just leaking antifreeze on the outside. Is there any way to buy myself some time with it by sealing it with anything? I'm willing to try anything, otherwise I'm doing a head gasket... Any help would be awesome, thanks!

yeah definitely, I'll also have the head machined, but it's not incredibly bad YET. it's just leaking on the outside of the head, the gasket hasn't split inside causing the water in the cylinders knock on wood.

Thanks for the input!
It's definitely not the freeze plugs, I'm thinking it may be leaking partially from that pipe between the alternator, and block. Also, some is definitely getting by the head gasket. It hasn't completely overheated yet, I know full well to shut her off before she gets there...
Tell Abe I appreciate his input as well, good to know he's still helping!
I threw some Barrs Block Seal/Stop Leak in there, it seems to be working. I'm not losing anymore coolant, so I bought myself a little time there.

I told him.
He says that if it doesn't leak when the engine is running and leaks when the egnine if off, look at the radiator and the hoses to the water pump.
