can u put a 22r head on a 22re block? i just blew a head gasket in one of my 4runners. i tore the engine apart and had the head cleaned and found a crack between the intake port and exhaust port. so im looking for a head. Are the heads different?

 

it depends on the year.

a 22R head from '86 and on should bolt on with no problems...
