I am looking for help????
The truck idles fine ( not coolant problem) but, when I crack the throttle no load the motor surges. It will do it when you drive too, thats alot of fun!! I have noticed that with a timming light it will go from 5btdc to almost 30 degress retard. It is very consistent, it will rev back up and back down, no matter how much throttle is applied. I have changed the TPS sensor, the computer, I have changed everything. I have checked forums after forums, no one has seemed to have this problem. I have had me friends that work for Lexus and Toyota 15 years look at it, this is a first for them. The truck actually runs better when you unplug the TPS, revs all the way up with out a beat.
If you crack the throttle, make it surge, unplug the TPS it stops and revs up.

I tried that, nothing changes at all. Hell I bought a new one, nothing. There is something very stupid I am overlooking.

I've found that there's alot of things that'll cause this. It could be as easy as lowering your idle, or changing out the PCV valve. There was actually one site that said to cut the electrical wires that tell the comp. you're applying the brakes. Google it. You'll be suprised how much stuff you'll find.
