22r carb problems

New here so don't know if i'm posting in the right place. I have an 86 pickup with 22r carb has a few What I believe to be choke issues.
1. fast idle stays on when cold till around 4000 rpms before it disingauges unless you tap the gas.
2. Latley it will start but wants to die unless you apply gas
3. If you start the truck and it dies right after when you attempt to start it again it doesn't just fire right up it acts like it is almost flooded and the starter will cycle and cycle for oh about 5 or 6 seconds and you have to feather the throttle to get it to start.

Sounds like choke to me.
Protip: Two full length pumps of the gas pedal and then try and start the truck.

Some one else here said to check fuel supply lines all the way to gas tank, and the line from tank to fuel filter.

easy way to tell if its a choke problem is to check it before you fire her up for the day..it should be closed..mine on the other hand has linkage issues and it binds up once its opened so i have to depress the gas pedal fully once to unbind it and let it close...
