2007 taco rims on a 94 4runner

I have a chance to get a good deal on these rims and tires. Will they fit on a 2nd gen 4runner 4x4? They are 2007 toyota tacoma TRD rims with BF Goodrich 265/70R/16 tires. I currently have stock 31x10.5x15 rims and tires.

They're both the Toyota 6 bolt pattern, I'm gonna huck a guess and say they should fit. You could also measure the center to center distance from one bolt (bolts that are opposite each other) and then compare to the rims just to be sure.

i would put one on before you buy them if you can--just to make sure. I dont know if the backspacing is the same, maybe somebody else does, to try to avoid rubbing.

Bump! The person is about an hour and half away so I want to make sure I am not waisting my time. Anyone know if these will fit? I know the rim and tire size is equal to a 31x10.5x15 but I just want to make sure the back spacing is right.

i dont know if they will fit. i know the 1st gens have different backspacing than the 2nd gens.
so toyota may have changed it again.

the propblem that you would run into is the wheel weights hitting the tie rods.

while you are waiting, remove a wheel on your truck, that way when the guy gets there you can test it. just remember to spin it. and then why dont you come back and let us know. as it seems nobody knows for sure.

Thanks for the reply. He is not coming to my house. I was going to drive up there and buy them if they fit. I might have to wait until monday and call the parts department. The size of the tire should not be a problem I'm just not sure on the back spacing. Does anyone know what years will fit? I.E. 3rd gen taco's or 4th gen 4runners etc...

Thanks

I bought some very much like yours; they are 265x70x17 and are about 1.5" taller than the 31x10.50 tires. The 1" smaller diameter wheel should make them fit about right, but I think they will be a little bit wider than 10.50s.

This is a handy site to check tire sizes

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

It shows the width to be narrower at 10.43

Are these the wheels you're asking about?

They will fit. I saw an early '90s pickup with them just the other day.

Those are the rims because I just checked the 2007 TRD Tacoma Trucks on auto trader. Once again I don't want to drive all the way there to find out they don't fit.

He said he saw them on an early '90s pickup, I would say it's worth the drive.

I ended up not getting these rims because they were sold. I am actually glad because a better deal came my way. I ended up with the Tri Y design rim with the split spoke. I have always liked the looks of those rims. The nice thing is they were mounted with 31X10.5X15R Mastercraft Course A/T Tires with at least 90% of there tread left. I got them for $325. I have not mounted them yet. Sorry no pics.

I do have a question. I know the caps won't fit on the front but I thought I came across a post awhile back that should a set of Dealer Taco center caps that would work on the front with these rims. Does any one know if this is true? Will the Black caps that come with my 94 4runner work with these rims.

thanks

Jeff

you know they have like 3 different rims for the new tacos. one is for the TRD offroad package 16inch, one is for TRD sport package17inch(the one of the pic above), the other is for the sr5 package. you might want to check into that a little more.
