2 LT rebuild - howdy , new guy

Howdy Folks;

new to the forum and the 2LT arena

Anyone rebuilt one of these?

trying to get information on what all I will need

I have a parts supplier and wont really know until I open it up to see how oversized I must go to meet the gaps

Please and thanks;

peace

I'd love to revive this thread if possible since I've got a 2LT and I haven't seen much about this yet. I've heard rumors of some issues with the motor that have not been substantiated.

say claybodie:

issues I know of this 2LT - mine engine sitting on a stand waiting to find a decent shoppe local to either sleeve or bore no.4 cyl - have talked with a few mates with 2LT's - same issue - starts burning oil from worn rings - usually no.4 piston -probably many like to lug the engine and no 4 piston is closest to flywheel where all the torque is transfered to

I hope this winter /spring to be able to venture into the engine rebuild myself -

happy to chat on about this moteur

good luck
cheers:
