1UZ Hilux diff ratio?

Hey,

Recently finished a 1UZ-FE swap into my 1995 single cab hilux pickup. Just need some advice from people who've done the swap on which diff ratio they are running?

I'm using a R150F gearbox and running 33" tyres. On the highway, I sit at 3000RPM @ 100khm (~62mph). What diff ratio would allow me to drop the amount of revs that I do on the highway?

I've done some research and some people are sitting at around 2300RPM at 100kmh, but they haven't stated what ratio that is with.

Any help would be appreciated!

Most likely because they used the 1UZ tranny, which is a different final drive.

I'd post this in the engine swap section for better response~

What diffs are you running? If you haven't changed them from stock, check your door jam. It'll say, g144, g292, g254, or g2(whatever for 4.3). Which correspond to 4.88, 4.10, 4.56 or 4.30. I would drop it down the the 4.10 and go for g252. Or find a new gen Tacoma axle with 3.93 gear ratio.
Your speedometer will be out to lunch anytime you change your axle ratios.

I'm fairly sure I've got the 4.88s in my truck now. So with 4.1s, what rpm would I roughly be sitting at when doing 100kmh? And with the new toyota trucks, are their diffs interchangable?

Will make a thread in conversion section if I can't find any info here.

Thanks for the replies so far guys
