Which one are you looking for? The one where you mod the switch so you can run the window up and down without the ignition on?

Or the one where you mount a switch in the back so you can roll the window down from inside the cargo area?

I have them bookmarked at home and will send you the link.

Shoot if you find them, post them up. More places they show up in the search the better. I might be in the market as well.

Actually niether. Guess I wasn't clear.
I'm looking for the one where you mount a door switch so when you open the tailgate the courtesy lights come on. I found the other two you mentioned above.

Thanks

4crawler's cheap tricks has the afore mentioned threads. I am on my phone, so sorry, you aren't getting links out of me right now.

I would like to see the courtesy light write as well, though.

relay modification so you don't need power on for window operation.

Additional interior switch

I posted this in the cheap mods thread before i realized i had a thread here.

If you want to open(unlock) the tailgate and have the courtesy lights illuminate, here is what i did(there is probably another way to wire into the harness)
Open the tailgate so you have access to the 3 pin connector that hangs off the driver side latch mechanism. FSM reference 'Door Lock Detection Switch'
Trace the center(pin 2 Green/Red stripe) to a desired location to tap into. (i tapped it in the tailgate and ran a wire form the connector to the driver courtesy switch, i have the entire interior out of the truck) You could trace the wire down the harness and closer to the driver side courtesy switch in the kick panel and connect(tap/splice) to the red/white stripe wire form the switch., drink a beer you are done. well maybe put stuff back together.
I installed a second courtesy light by the wiper housing, i simply ran two wires to the 'A' pillar driver side where the original courtesy connects to the wire harness. I also ran a ground wire from the light to the wiper motor to act a a ground since i installed the light into plastic. This allows the 'ON' setting to work.
BTW, i replaced all my interior lights with LEDs...two courtesy, two deck-lights, two map lights, two door lights.

enjoy
RB
