This is a great build thread, thanks for posting it up and providing all the links and photos.

Great source on the riv nuts too - I'll need those when I replace my cargo panels with metal ones down the road.....

Just ordered my T-track from www.ttrackusa.com Hope it gets here by this weekend, so I can mount up my surco rack. I'll post up some pics after the install.

Thanks to SNWBRDR852 for a great write-up

Ha! That T-Track place is right down the street from me. As a matter of fact i go very close to it on my way to work...

www.ttrackusa.com is owned and operated as a marketing resource of:

This is a cool idea for a roof rack and i've been wondering about the best way to go about it. Guess ill be swinging by and picking up some railing.

THANKS, GUYS! Man, .... I felt bad for asking, thought it must be up there, but ...... just too overwhelmed to focus for more than 20 seconds right now! hahaha. Seriously, appreciate it!

I plan on using this method, and I originally had planned on using the T track from a full size late 90's-2000's Suburban, alone... But now, I can mount this track, then the Suburban track on top of this t-track in order to have a dual purpose system(So I can mount my Con-Ferr to the track in the link above, ...then mount the second track and Suburban quick release/sliding cross bars for when I am just 'running around town'.

PS> I don't THINK I'll be running the Yakima style straight cross bars... Just mounting the cage through the pilot holes it has, then slide the cage on or off when needed... But I DO like the 'FLAT' feature of the Straight cross bars you're running, Snwbrd... Hmmmmm. lol

Sorry for rambling.... But I will be back to post up an update when I finally have time to install all this.

Sorry, it's been a while since I've been on here...

Thenewman, if you're referring to the basket, I got mine from Amazon. That was the best price I found for it at the time. I actually welded the extension in so that it would be permanent, but I've been very happy with it. It's held up really nice.
