Lordy that's a good looking mod. Cleanest interior on a 20y/o 4runner I've ever seen!
I bet if you bought alot of dashes from a pick-n-pull, cleaned em up, and modded em like that, people would be lining up to buy em from you.

You know, I would try to mod and sell them, but out here in CA, I cannot find a first gen 4Runner in any of the local PnP yards. They get bought up by Yota wreckers who want a pretty penny for the parts.
Plus, this is really an easy mod. I figured it out and posted it up. The guys should be able to buy the parts and do it themselves with no problems. I would feel guilty profiting from this mod. Now, my LED backup light mod that I'm going to do this weekend, that one I might charge for.....

Why feel guilty for making a profit? There's tons of people who have the ability to mod it, but would rather just buy the damn thing rather than waste their time on it. It's like building a sub box. I have the ability, know-how, and tools to make a badass one, but I'm lazy and it's just not worth my time when I could buy it already made.

I just finished installing my LED backup lights and hooked them up to the right most switch. I need to get a write up done on that mod, it came out pretty darn nice.
Now to figure out what to hook up to the middle switch.

this will be a perfect mod when I get my 85 Runner finished and need to mount my ARB switches and my fan switches.
Great post with the part numbers and everything...
Thanks.

Without knowing what's behind the dash on all 6 switches, I would say there's a chance.
The only concern I have is that I know I cut some of the support bars for the cluster...not necessarily enough to make the cluster loose in the dash, but I was being careful.
You could put it in the console in front of the shifter/t-case lever?
Btw, the Blue Sea Block is a nice piece, I have it in mine, which is mounted up behind the radio under the dash. Not the easiest piece to get access to, but very protected.
Now if I could only get the **** roof lights working.

Yeah, Im also looking for a place to mount the blue sea fuse block... having the 3vz its a pain in the ass to put it in the engine bay. But i'll check out the little front cubby... maybe that'll work
