1st gen to 2gen 4runner ?'s

Can anybody tell me if a 1st gen 4runner body can or will fit onto a 2nd gen 4runner frame?

About 99% sure. My only real question is if the body ounts line up perfectly.

I have seen a 2'nd gen body on a 1'st gen frame. The guy told me there was very little modifications. "Hardest part was trimming to fit the shift linkage through cleanly".

Doesn't answer your question, but if you're that far in I think you'd be capable to adjust anything that needed it.
