1jz swap?

I was wondering if anyone has done this and if they have replaced the transmission or motor mounts. Thank you

Yes you'll have to change transmissions and mounts, A JZ is a pretty expensive and involved swap, and it isn't done very often. 7mge is an easier swap into the older trucks and much cheaper.

Check out this site for some supra motor info.

If you insist on a JZ series engine, a 2jz is ALWAYS a better choice. It was marketed in the USA, parts are easier to find, it's .5L larger, and there is no replacement for displacement.

Yeah, as a Supra guy who has owned 1JZ and 2JZ motors, I can tell you for the effort of a 1JZ, just go 2JZ. Autos will bolt up with the right parts, but manual transmissions you're best off with a turbo Supra R154 transmission with the 4wd tail housing off of a V6 truck/4runner R150.

Motor mounts will need to be fabricated. bicperformance.com makes some mounts, you can look into them.
