1994 4x4 Pickup Control Arm availability

Hi all,

First post for me and first time with a new-to-me 94 4x4 Pickup. I bought her used with 120K and a 4" suspension lift. I hope to make her better than when I bought her. She looks like she took quite a few harsh winters in Pennsylvania.

I'm stuck on some parts availability. I wanted to replace the bushings on the control arms, but after reading the posts on how much of bitch they are to replace and also considering the rustiness of my current arms, I would rather replace the entire arm with either new or used and press in poly bushings myself. That way its ready to just swap when i take the old one off reducing downtime.

The issue I come across is the lower control arms. internet searches result in LCAs, but for RWD versions. the auto wrecker sites online show up as LCAs for 4x4s, but were coming from v6 models. I have the 22RE.

I've looked into the model differences, but can't tell if they IFS for 89-95 models were the same or did they differ slightly through the years?
some places carry 4runner LCAs .. will they work on the Pickup? I assume they would, but I need a knowledgeable person to assure me im right. It would be much appreciated.

I have most of the other parts involved .. BJ's, Tie-rods, pitman & idler arms, etc.

Thanks in advance if you guys can help me out.

you need arms from a 4wd truck. 2x4 will not work. 3vze vs 22re wont matter.

check your local pick-n-pull best place to get them, bonus if you score a set of asin hubs (although i swear all the guys that work at those places pull them before the cars hit the yard, ive looked for sets for years and never once seen a set in a yard)

89-95 should be the same.

I realize this is an old thread, but it is something I am trying to determine myself right now.

Is there any difference between the 86-89 LCAs, and the 90-95 LCAs?

Thanks

I don't know about that difference, but I have a lca from a 2wd 4runner on my 4x4 90 runner with no issues. They look and feel the same.
