1994 22re Wiring Diagram
I've completed my rebuild of a 22re and have it running, but i could not find the correct wire for the Starter, oil pressure guage or knock sensor. I avoided the Starter by running a jumper from the relay. Could someone help explain the locations and colors of these wires to me? The three loose wires i have are all singles. There is a large black w/white strip, a small black, and i cant think of the third. If anyone knows where a better wiring diagram is that would help. I have a chilton's, not good enough.

The starter wire should be black/white. You can check that with a voltmeter or test light.
The oil pressure wire should be yellow/black.
The knock sensor is black.
...
Unless Toyota did things different for you.
And unless you cut the plugs off, they won't connect to the wrong location.

You can check the starter (black/white) wire with a voltmeter, like I said, by attaching one probe to the wire and the other to ground then have someone try to start the engine.
Pay close attention to the knock sensor wire- it may be a coaxial wire, meaning 1 center conductor, one outer shield, like the coax cable tv / wire and if that is the case, you have to ensure that you don't allow the two conductors to connect and the shield should be separated and grounded somewhere near the firewall.
