I have a 93 with a v6 project and it has been having some issues witn running rough and someone suggested changing out the temp sensor so I did along with the temp cold start sensor however I also need to change my guage sensor as my temp guage stopped working and this seams like the logical next step since ive already changed out the thermostat. The problem I cant find the darn thing. The sensor im looking for is 83420-16020. I thought it was next to the other two but I dont see it?

A picture would help. The block that holds the various temperature sensors varies a lot between models (for instance: a 4wd WITH Automatic has an extra temperature sensor, so the block is different).

Back of engine next to firewall. This truck is a 4x4 manual transmission with the v6.





The one on the right is the temp sensor that I replaced and I thought the one on the left was the Guage sensor but it does not appear to have a threaded nut on it

looking at the EWD for the 94 it shows it at the back of the engine with a grey plug

Yellow/ green stripe wire

It grounds via the sensor.

I hope this helps yours may be different but it should be in the same place.
