1992 Toyota Pickup - Failed Emissions
Hey guys. I have a 1992 pickup truck I just bought. I took it last week to emissions to get my tags. The car failed due to High Carbon. The first time it failed by 10 points but the RPM was 2500, the second time I tested it failed by 950. The idle was set really high so I adjusted it to factory settings which is 870 RPM I dont know what to do please help.
What do you guys recommend..

Failed Emissions
Post your numbers.
When was your last tune up? Air filter? Basics? Did you drive the truck around to get it hot, at least 20-30 minutes?
SeaFoam intake cleaning as well as in the gas - worked for me. I added 1 can of SeaFoam to the tank (1 oz per gallon), filled it up with Chevron Premium, and drove it until it was near empty. Prior to the test, I took it out on the interstate for 30 minutes, and then directly to the test facility.
