Is a 1992 regular cab long box rare?

Committed to buy a 93 pickup with a 7 foot bed. It has the 22re and 5 speed transmission. I haven't seen a lot of threes with the long bed, is it rare? If so does it affect the value?

Don't see a lot of those. I wouldn't pay a penny extra unless it mattered to me. It's still a 92/93 (you said both) , you'll find plenty of reasons why you should pay much less than he is asking. But since you already committed to buy, sounds like you already negotiated a price.

Thanks for the response. My fault, it is a 1992 truck with low miles and has been well maintained. The deal is fair for both of us. It wasn't a steal and it wasn't outrageously high, just fair which is good.

I currently have a 1993 reg cab short box 4x4 that I use around town and on ranches I lease and the landowner has been asking me if I wanted to sell my truck and the answer has always been no. When I found this truck he said buy it and I'll buy the one you don't want.

The long box has 120,000 miles on it and mine has 150,000 miles on it but I'm not worried about that as the 22re's are fantastic. I just wanted to know if the rarity of the long box should play into my decision

I had a '91 standard cab long box. Bought it new, but it had to be ordered. They aren't that rare, but not all that common for the 3rd gen trucks. Least not in So Cal, back in the day

I have rarely seen a long bed in the 3rd gen trucks, but I agree with everyone else here that it should not affect the price much. I am thinking it must be a 2wd because I do not believe they made 4wd long beds in the later years. If that is the case then there is a chance it is a 1-ton, which I could increase the value very slightly, but not significantly unless it was a dually flatbed or something.

I have a 91 reg cab long box. It wasn't any more money than the other toyo's I was looking at (in the same km/condition range). Mine is a 2wd, but I have seen both 2wd and 4wd long box trucks around.

I wouldn't say they are that rare, its not hard to find oem or used replacement parts for example, however, accessories like a good fitting canopy have been harder to come by.

note: 7ft bed was nice for me because my dirtbike goes in straight and I can keep the tailgate up. I don't know if that matters to you.

good luck.
