Well, the truck is ready.What a major PITA:

Heres how it went.

Turns out, the problem was innitially not well tightened bolt on the camshaft gear, which overtightened because of the movement of the engine over time, broke the pin and then wasnt able to continue the motion from the timing belt to the camshaft. Engine had a bit of blown headgasket on cylinder 6 and a lot of dirt from old oil and stuff over the years. Heads were grinded, everthing was cleaned and some old and damaged parts were replaced.The whole thing took 18 days (not everyday offcourse) and cost me a rather SALTY equivelent of around 1300 dollars. I really feel butthurt.I know I overpaid, but I just hope this thing lasts a while now.

With this truck its really best if a man does the repairs himself.

NEWS!

Exactly 1000 miles after the engine repair the truck went Britney style and "Ooops! I did it again!" - cranks, but wont start. Yesterday I changed the air intake hose with a new one and it went fine. Truck was hesitating on acceleration though, with the old and with the new hose, and almost constantly idling at ca. 500 rpm when warm. Was misfiring as well from time to time, all and all I did not liked the sound of the engine running. Will take her to the mechanic tomorrow morning. I am getting a bit pissed with this 3vze.....
