1990 3.0 loud squeal

Hello i have done plenty of research and im coming up short. I had a loud squeal at start up and until i got up to highway speeds then it went away, but my power steering would act up every now and then.then my harmonic balencer broke and said good thats the problem replaced it and to my suprise wasnt my problem.then shortly after my false water pump pulley explodes so there we go found the problem, but to my suprise was not the problem. now im getting really frustrated so i replaced my power steering pump still the same then i replaced my altinator still no change i have all new belts. This is a mystery i cant solve please help i still dont have power steering sitting still and it squeals all up until i get to highway speeds.thank you in advance

Did you replace the belts and tighten them up properly?

If the power steering pulley is worn, you may not be able to tighten the belt enough. Mine is getting to that point. The solution is a shorter belt or a new pulley. Since you don't have power steering sitting still, I bet the belt just isn't tight enough.

A worn distributor can also squeal at startup.

I have good tension on all belts. The power steering belt is actually hard to get on so there's is plenty of tension.

Have you checked the tensioner pulley for the A/C, also it could be one of the idler pulleys for the T-belt. Does the noise go away if you remove accessory belts one by one?

yes it does if i remove the alt. belt it stops but that stops the alt. and the false water pump pulley and i have replaced both of them thats what is so confusing. i forgot all about the a/c tensioner.another thing if i turn the wheel sitting still my false water pump stops spinning

So did you replace the whole false water pump or just the pulley? From what I remember the power steering belt goes around the false water pump also, so there is one thing that is common in all of your problems and that is the false water pump, I would check it out some more and make sure it isn't seized or on its way out.

I had that bearing seize up and found out that Toyota wanted $700 for it, so I tried to press the bearing out and broke the whole housing so I cut it out and got shorter belts and an electric fan, worked just fine.

I've been thinking about the electric fan set up. So you just run your p/s pump and alt. off of the crank pulley

Yes, I had to make a few trips to the parts store to get the right belts but it worked just fine.

Don't know for sure if they are the right ones, but I have the old receipt for a Gates k040410-4pk1045 belt measuring 9/16x41-3/4 inches and a Gates 9465-13a1180 belt measuring 1/2x46-7/8 inches, can't say for sure if those are one's that I had to return because they didn't fit or not.
