1989 pickup flasher location please
like i said, looked under dash to left of column, both fuse boxes, behind kick.... upgraded to high intensity led tailights and am flashiing very rapidly like a bulb is out, i.e. too much load on flasher, or too bright a tail light maybe.... any other help is greatly appreciated ya'll. bb-c.
edit- had pro shop do 5 to 4 wire conversion for them and three techs were standing there scratching their heads so probably not a mis-wire? ugh.

he's looking for the turn-signal/hazard-signal flasher unit
It looks identical to an average 12v relay, and it is in fact there under the dash on the driver's side. It's not inside any fuse panels or behind any kick panels. If memory serves me right, it's right above the clutch pedal (or where one would be if you have an automatic
) and for the most part sits right there out in the open, and is actually fastened to the dash with a bracket, and just has a plug-in on it facing down (you'll see the wiring harness leading to it; I think it's 4 wires). It's just sitting there all by itself... you'll swear it look just like a relay sitting there...
Turn a turn signal on and stick you're head under the dash... you'll find it in no time

turned flasher on( GREAT IDEA), sounds like its coming from behind dash to left of column. i THINK i need to remove dash to access? cant touch anything that clicks from on back under pedals, doh. cant see any thing over clutch assy. either, have 2 prong HD replacement so looking for something that matches on loom.any more hints? will pull dash next, thanks for everything so far guys. bb-c

Okay, I had forgotten that I removed the OEM flasher in the past and installed an electronic flasher when I installed my LED lights in the rear and in the front turn signals 
but I THINK that I zip tied the electronic flasher to the bracket that the OEM one attaches to.. I THINK...
that being said, I also had to figure out the wiring, because simply plugging it in, even though they were both 3 prong configurations, would cause the fuse to blow every time...
I can't remember what wiring diagram I referred to to figure this out, but as you can see I'm only using 2 wires, and they work just fine
The white plug there is the OEM plug that plugs into the OEM flasher

lol, yeap
wire, 2 male connectors to plug into the new flasher, 2 female connectors to plug into the OEM socket, and now I can easily revert back to the OEM flasher if I ever have the need to (that is if I can find it... I thought I left it mounted in the truck still, lol)

yep
BUT, if you do ALL LEDs, they wont flash at all, lol, they just stay solid lit, becuase there's not enough resistance through the LED's to heat up the thermal switch inside the flasher

thanks for everything so far. i see the bracket that your flasher is mounted on and mine is empty. i hear it behind left blinker light so am guessing someone b4 me relocated it there. mine is a one ton and had a four wire tail light setup that i had converted down to three for a set of 10 bulbs each super bright led tail lights, you know the big leds that blind you if you look into them. my old lamps were 1157 and the single element one like it for blinks. 1157 has high and low wattages of 26.8 and 8.3. my lights are hooked up correctly but blinkers fast blink. do ya'll think the leds wattage could be overtaxing my stock flasher causing prob?i bought heavy duty flasher for 1-10 bulbs to replace existing but was wondering about that electronic flasher bleeder reffered to. thanks again. bb-c

alright guys, location is where the wires are coming from under the dash in bleeders last picture. back behind the tubular dash brace the top of the flasher is clipped to something, pull hard and it pops off. i think bleeder mounted it to that bracket cuz there is no clip on top of the electronic ballast. thanks, bb-c.
