Okay im in a hard spot deciding to continue or part it out. Really rough material i now see why it was salvaged, the whole front end is zip tied pop riveted and crushed like a beer can. Hard to tell in photos but looks like hell in person.

I don't think it will be possible to straighten that all out so it all fits together as it should. Idk disappointing.

Wow extremely disappointing. Looks like one of those deals where it was probably more effort to fix it the wrong way than the right way but some ppl just don't know any better.

Hopefully the frame isn't tweeked once you get the cab off.

haha finding a bed in iowa is like a needle in a hay stack. This gonna get a flat bed.

Anyone have any suggestions on this? I wanna do a bj spacer and diff drop but absolutely do not want lift blocks in the rear, chevy springs, shackles, or what?

Lots of guys are doing the zuk mod. Seems to be cheap and effective. I like the ford or Chevy spring swap but takes more time and money.

I ran those treadwrights on my Cherokee. They didn't last as long as I hoped but for the price I couldn't complain. Actually when I got them, one had a pinhole in the sidewall. When I contacted them about it they had me send a pic of the pinhole and shipped me a new one rite away. I was very happy bout that but absolutely do not get the ground up walnut shells in them. They fall out on gravel roads and it chews the tires up like crazy. Glad to hear u got the money pit sold tho, now u can spend it all on this one!

Need some advice, Since im going to have the cab off is it a good idea to go ahead and do a timing chain? It doesn't tick or anything but im thinking of precautionary measures.

I got a rear fuel tank out of a 96 f150 complete with pump and filler neck, also purchased sun pro fuel gauge and sender unit to put in the tank. Will take some pics this weekend. Gaining 2 more gallons! Lol

Also ordered new front end components, cab mout kit, heavy duty timing kit with oil and water pump. Lol I have now bought more $ worth in parts then what I paid for the truck!
