1988 3VZE VAFM questions
I did a leak down test on my 4runner, put it back together and it wouldn’t run. It would start and run for about a second, and then die. I suspected a ciruit opening relay issue, so I unplugged the VAFM and it allowed the engine to run for much longer, and it ran indefinitely with the Fp pin shorted. I suppose this means my VAFM is no good. I pushed down on it when reinstalling the air filter so I guess I screwed it up.
I went to do some resistance checking on it but I noticed that there is no E2 (sensor ground) wire coming from the harness, at least in comparison to the diagrams I’ve found online.
Let me know if my diagnostic makes sense, I also shorted my ratchet out on the battery positive for a split second, maybe I blew a fuse in relation to the VAFM circuit? And also where the heck is the E2 on my VAFM where it should be?
thanks in advance!

About half way down in the pictures, you can see the screws on each side of the plug im talking about. Some people have removed the two screws thinking thats how you unplug it and pulled the harness out from the afm that way. It destroys the afm when you do that. But since you got it fixed, it wasnt the issue.
