1987 truck: what's it worth?

It's not mine (thank goodness) It's a friend's though. read the ad & see what you think it's worth. I would say around $1,000 bucks. I would like to hear your thoughts.

You guys really think he can get $1500 even though it has no A/C or emissions? If someone will really pay that price then he will be happy.

looks all good n dandy until you hop into the car and realize it doesn't have anything...

and did i miss the mileage?

He should sell it to a high school kid's dad for 2k, and brag up the fact that it looks cool on the outside, but its safe because its not like he can go out racing in it.

He should brag it up as a "learning" truck, to learn more about cars. If i ever sell mine, that's what ill do.

were it mine, I'd shoot myself for even thinking about blue / white valve cover and interior.
anyhow asking 2000 isn't really that far off what it is worth, well at least until you try registering it and have to fix all the missing emissions stuff, but it should also say "OBO". Save for lowering it and the bad choice in colors I think someone would pay 2000 for it.

Oh, and are those 4wd front fenders?

yeah, 4wd front & rears. I don't know what who ever painted that truck was thinking? I don't know why my friend bought it either? I will have him put OBO in the ad. Oh & the odometer reads 316,xxx. Who knows though?

Thanks for the input.

It's a Toyota! I have no idea if the engine has ever been rebuilt or just painted? I would asume just painted, but yeah a lot of miles on the drive train.

I like it. I'd trade my 1968 Mercedes 250SE for it.

But then, I already have one two seater. I'd really like a 4runner or FJ60 instead.
