i was driving down the freeway and my truck started to get hot so i pulled over and noticed that i had lost a radiatior cap. so i filled the truck up with water and got a new cap. but the truck will not start it will turn over and everything just wont fire. but i did notice that when u are crankin it over that water was dripping out the exhaust manifold. do i have a blown head or head gasket

Have you checked your oil? take the cap off and if it looks like a milkshake then yes, you have a blown HG. If not you may have an external leak of some sort.

ya the head gasket was still in good shape. but when i pulled the head the # 2,3,4 cyl where rusted up pretty bad. had the head tested and it had blown a water port out. but the good thing is that i got the complete motor warrantied.

Well, whether blown HG or blown head, you'd have to pull the head and replace the gasket so no lost money there. And if it's warranteed, even less loss of money.
