16 inch rims on 86 2WD Pickup

Hey everyone,

I have the stock 14" rims on my truck now, but want to get a good set of either full summer tires or some light AT truck tires, and there are way more options for 16 inch rims than there are for 14". I want to get a new set of just cheap steel wheels, but of course am having a hard time knowing if they'll work or not.

These are the ones I've found:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-939-107

They seem like they'll fit, lug pattern is the same and center bore is 73mm, so will fit on the 60.1mm (I think thats the stock hub size).

I am thinking of maybe a set of these:

or something a bit more conservative like these:

Other than that, it seems like they'll fit fine but just wanted to see what all of you think!

Thanks!

17" is the wheel size to get if you want the biggest selection in tires.

that said, the last time i looked at 14" tires, they were the cheapest option.

i usually buy tires from discount tire, using those coupons that come up regularly.

I have an 80 model 2wd with 16x8 20mm+ offset mst mt-01 bronze rims and 1 inch wheel spacers with bfgoodrich k02 tires sized at 215/65/16 and they only rub if i'm turning hard and hit a bump or flex the front suspension. But for every day driving on the road it looks great and rides great and has almost no road noise !!

Needed a bit of help with my setup! I’m running the same rims with the 73.1 bore on my 89 pickup and it doesn’t fit over in the front. Is the 1 inch spacer necessary to push it off the hub?
