i just don't like the doors I'm not saying anything about personal beliefs i just stated that i believe to support the country a a whole not just the south's heritage...

why is the flag so controversial!? people have mexican flays, italian flags and whatnot on their trucks/cars too! its a flag, fly what u want

 

Maybe because it is also use by some racist and White Supremacist groups. And, others view the flag as a symbol of rebellion against the federal government of the United States.

on the other hand people see it a heritage and historical symbol

Sadly I do, if I could move I would. Somehow or another a Northern raised hick boy like myself is more intune with you Southern folk. Besides me accent if you were around me you would think I fit in just fine..

 

I think it looks awesome. Its two color schemes that really shouldn't be anywhere near each other but somehow they work well together. Im an Ohio boy till the day I die, but i say hold the stars n bars up high over your head (or on your doors if thats your thing). America still supports free speech, or didn't I get the memo?

 

lovin the doors man! where im from its not looked down upon when you see a truck or hell in some cases a car with a HUGE rebel flag flyin out back haha! I think its great!

 

Not seen as patriotism so much as most people interpret it being flown as a lack of patriotism which totally confuses me as well , its history ..............heritage

The thing that really eats me for the most part is that all of the people that look upon this flag and then sit in judgement of the people that fly it or display it as racist's for the most part ................................
The sad part is that they are the ones being racist and hateful .................................
Not all the peeps that fly or display this flag are like that but then some are I will agree BUT there are a whole lot more out there that fly the American Flag that feel the same way and are the most prejudiced and racist pigs alive .

Bottom line is understand it is History and Heritage and stop stereotyping everyone that flys or displays the flag as prejudice / racist / living in the past in a bad way .

Figure out who your enemy is first , try not to make them one before you even know who they are .................

I rock the STARS AND BARS, and I also have a GOOD friend who is black. Hell, he even rides in my truck haha. f you want to debate, take it somewhere else. Isn't that the truth , at least thats what you would think , the but the problem then again is everyone wants to have it and then impose thier not so free assumptions/speech on everyone else , kinda like the "Have your cake and eat it too" scenario

Sorry if I get a bit envolved but I am not prejudice or a racist in any way shape or form and it really burns me to see peeps take a simple Flag - a part of their history as well and turn it into a problem , a confession of racism and prejudice of all those they see display it and that is just wrong and they are the ones with the problem but too narrow minded to see it .

I have a farm in Farmville Va that has been in my family since the late 1700's , 365 Acres bordered by the Appomattox River (Great Deer Hunting ) , land was a grant to my Great Great Great Grandfather , built by hand with wood on the land , bricks made by hand , house is approx. 5000 squares not counting full basement .
Used as a Civil War Hospital during the war and family owned ever since , just some of my history and the very reason I hold that history dear but it doesn't make me a racist prejudice PIG !

Ok I'm done and I am sorry if I have gone bat crazy on the forum but I will help anyone and hate prejudice and racism with a fever .
I like you have many freinds of many colors and none of them look at historical symbols that way or judge a person in that way either .

WHo cares what the guy said? hes just some chump behind his comoyter being a tough guy. You know how people online are lol...everybody is a hard ass with somethnig to say when there a plane ride away. Just let it roll. Not to mention, his comment on "you lost the war get over it" is pretty ignorant, as thats not why MOST people fly the flag. When peple fly the american flag I dont say "our president is a dumbass, get over it"
