Can the the zuk mod be done on a straight axle?

Zuk mod is done on leaf spring equipped rear Straight Axle trucks and 4Runners.

Right. So it should work the same on the rear of a starlight axle Toyota as a ifs then?

Yes, the rear axle setup is largely the same, so long as it's a leaf spring setup. 4runners 1990 and up are already coil sprung so ZUK mod is not possible on those.
