Hi everyone. I have a 1985 22re with 278,xxx miles on it. Just recently it would only start when the weather was a little cool. When the weather got warmer it wouldnt start at all. I waa told that the fuel pump was going out so I replaced it with an inline pump that I was given when I bought the truck. I wired the pump straight to the battery with a toggle switch. The pump runs but now my truck won't start at all. I have sprayed ether in it and it will start then die. Help!

Are you getting gas to the carb? What's your fuel glass look like? You might have a clogged line somewhere.
