window mechinsim

been trying to figure out whats wrong with my driver side window mech. the shaft that the handle (for roll the window down onto) moves around a bit, and it seems like the gears engage a bit, so the window will roll down and up just slightly, then it starts to skip teeth. cant really see if the gears themselves are stripped out, doesnt feel like it though. window can be pushed up or down and i dont like this. i want this window fixed!

my question is, can i replace the gear mechs. or does the door have to be replaced? i cant find any bolts to undo and remove the mech. any advice would be apperciated. thx!

The same thing happened to mine. The bushing that the shaft rides in had worn out allowing the gears to slip out of each other. I was able to make a new bushing with JB weld and an old nut but it only lasted 3-4 months until it also broke on me.

Check This Out This is the place I bought my Window Regulators. $16 a piece and work great! They are easy to replace, once you have done it once, you will be able to do it the second time in half the time!
