This vacuum line part melted and I'm lost trying to find part number or name.

 

What year? Engine? Where is it located on the engine? That will help

 

Was that screwed into the power steering pump? If so, that is the air valve for the power steering idle-up. I've not run one of those for 10+ years and don't really miss if, just screw it back into the pump (to seal it up) and block off the vacuum lines:

All that part does is bump up the idle speed when the p/s pump pressure goes high, like when you are cranking the steering wheel over at a stop. I find most of the time that is not needed and if it is, I can blip the gas pedal if the steering is too heavy.

 

It is a gas filter located on the side of the intake of a 22re. Dealership sells them for $32. I ended up sealing up the bad spots and re opening on of the spouts for the vacuum hose to slide on and it worked perfect. Fired up and purred like a kitten

 

It seems like a pressure switch of some sort, where was it attached to?
