What is that thing under the hood?

Is there somewhere I can get a good labeled diagram of all the stuff under the hood? I've looked through the factory service manual, but I haven't seen anything quite like what I'm looking for. For example, if I wanted to find out (which I do) what the metal finned thingy is in the top left corner of this picture, how would I go about doing that? Thanks!!!

Its for the fuel injection system. It is a fuel injector resistor solenoid.

Fuse box indicates truck is diesel.
Should not have electricly actuated injectors.
Therefore no need for injector resistor.
I wonder what it really is???

Fuse cover says diesel. Shows position of 80 amp glowplug fuse.

You do realize that EVERY fuse cover from that generation truck has a spot for a diesel fuse right?

I stand corrected.
The paper on my first gen is gone.
I have an 80 amp fuse in the position marked for glowplugs on my 22re gasser, Is this the main charge fuse then on gas engine trucks??.

Yeah, my 3RZ kept the glow plugs from my 22R. Made the swap easier.
