What next?

My `85 is running decent now.I have a few ?`s I was gonna see if you guys could answer. The truck seems to have good power through about the mid range of 3rd gear, after that she doesn`t feel as strong.Could this be due to the 34`s I`m running? What is the best start and cheapest for improving the sloppy steering. This thing shakes like hell around 40 mph.I don`t mind it that much,,but it would be nice to be able to keep it in the road without such a struggle.I`m glad to be putting some miles on her finally though. How strong is your motor while running the big tires? The motor does have a rebuild and a weber `34 set up.What did you guys do to improve upon these issues? Thanks

Proper gearing for that size tire would be a good idea, either 4.88s or 5.29s.

You can try to tighten up the drag link ends or rebuild them if needed, it that is the cause of the steering play.

I would regear as 4crawler said. 4.88s or 5.29s. That will help with the larger than stock tires you run.

For the steering i would buy a hysteer kit from a popular vendor, tg, marlin, etc. Even just get an alignment if you dont want to spend the money on the hysteer. plus you have to buy the ifs box
