what all needs waterproofed for a snorkel

ok guys one more stupid ? wat all do i need to water proof i know the basics coil distributor but wat else and how do i go about water proofing it.

Front/rear differential and transmission breathers should be extended. Alternators and starters don't take kindly to being submerged for an extended amount of time either. Not much you can do about that without spending quite a bit of money on a sealed marine type alternator. A "sealed" battery box is also a good thing. And depending on what type of battery a completely sealed battery box is best.

looks like the battery box cheapest is a 69 bucks has a vent and all and ive got the disributor down well an idea anyway... still stuck on the coil

Build a box around it. A long coil wire will cause a whole lot of problems. Mainly loss of voltage.
Can't just move the coil anyway. The ignitor has to go with it.

I agree with peow130. I have been in a 4runner on 42s and it floated to the level I could open the door and no water came inside. So lift it and get 42s and your set, or get a boat
